Our stay was real good, liked relatively cheap breakfasts.
Excellent service, even though a few employees were not very helpful. The rooms were a nice size and functional and had a wonderful view of the mountain or harbor. The bed was nice and the food was outstanding. The location was perfect - close to restaurants and pubs.

Easy self-check-in with key codes, no need for a physical key. Friendly breakfast staff available from 8 to 10. Great location across from the marina with beautiful views. Convenient parking. Basic but clean room with necessary amenities. Satisfactory breakfast given the remote location.

This hotel is a great value for the money. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the convenient location in the center of town. The staff is friendly and attentive, making check-in a breeze. The rooms on the second floor are basic but comfortable, with a comfortable bed and all the basic necessities. I particularly appreciated the kitchenette with a microwave, which was a nice convenience. Another highlight was the breakfast from the bakery across the road, which added a delicious touch to the stay.
All was satisfactory for an enjoyable stay.

Located just across the street from the marina, the hotel has a great location for exploring the Snaefellsnes National Park and other local attractions. the rooms are spacious and clean, and some even come with a table and a couch. the breakfast in the morning is good, and there is a great town pool just down the street with some nice outside hot tubs that offer beautiful views of the waterfall.
Some aspects of the hotel are dated, such as the carpets and the shower that may be a little difficult to use.

I spent my Thanksgiving vacation at a place that really exceeded my expectations. the breakfast did not disappoint with various options of delicious pastries and hot coffee. the location was perfect with easy access to shops and attractions nearby. the best part of my stay was the warm and attentive staff who made me feel right at home. I was surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine that just added to my experience.
I have to admit that the room itself was a little outdated and could use some renovating. the furniture was old and the TV was not modern.

I had a great stay at North Star Hotel. The location was perfect, right in the heart of a charming fishing village. I loved the calm and relaxed atmosphere after a busy day exploring Iceland. The staff reached out to me before my stay, which was a nice personal touch. Check-in was easy, and the breakfast was delicious. I also appreciated the helpful kitchen staff who assisted with the check-in process. Despite some minor inconveniences, like the lack of a TV and desk in the room, I still found the hotel to be good value for the price. I highly recommend North Star Hotel for a pleasant stay in Olafsvik.

Our romantic getaway was made even better thanks to the beautiful views and ease of check-in at this hotel. The room was tidy and comfy, and we had a delicious breakfast included in our stay which was a great perk. it was convenient that the hotel was located on the main road and easy to find, plus we appreciated being able to open the windows in our room for fresh air.
Though overall we had a good experience, we did encounter one issue during our stay. We had booked a room with a kitchenette and microwave, but when we arrived we were given a room without these facilities.
